Sandor Smith is the Manager of Digitization and Gateway Innovation at the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority and has over 15 years of shipping industry experience. Following several years as business and shipping industry analyst, he led many of the commercial aspects of the Roberts Bank Terminal 2 container terminal development program, with a focus on terminal operations and automation. More recently, he began working in the supply chain optimization department at the VFPA, leading innovation initiatives to help the Port leverage data and digital technologies to become an “Insight Driven” Gateway. This includes foundational work on the Port’s digital architecture, as well as exploring the use of emerging technologies to develop predictive analytics and digital twins.
Sandor holds a BBA and MBA from Simon Fraser University and is a Project Management Professional.
