Courtney Robinson has over thirty (30) years of shipping industry leadership and management experience. His most recent assignments 2018-2023, includes currently being COO, previously Director of HSSE & Facility Infrastructure and Director of Strategic Development & Infrastructure at APM Terminals Elizabeth, NJ.


In his current role, Courtney’s leadership was instrumental in helping to successfully navigating the recent global Pandemic; supply chain woes and historic container volumes in the port of New York New Jersey where he was a visible driving force of collaboration and Port Efficiency with the Port Authority, Shipping Association, International Longshoremen Association, and other Port partners.


In 2016, Courtney was appointed as APM Terminals Elizabeth Integrator for the successful $200M infrastructure and investment plan—Modernization Project. As a visionary, change agent and collaborator, Courtney successfully led the integration of major Terminal assets and transformative initiatives.


During 2014-2016, Courtney was the Director, Terminal Operations and Planning for APM Terminals Elizabeth NJ. In this role, he was primarily responsible for directing the overall continuous improvement of the terminal through developmental projects and information technology operations. He also performed in various Operational Director level positions at the APM Terminals Elizabeth facility during 2007-2014, including but not limited to, Vessel Operations and Yard/Gate/Rail Operations. From 2003-2007, Courtney held various positions in Elizabeth, NJ within Vessel Operations.


Courtney is a recent graduate of the Certified Port Executive Program (2017). He graduated from New York Institute of Technology with an MBA in International Business. Courtney is also a graduate of the APM Terminals MAGNUM leadership program.


Prior to joining the APM Terminals Elizabeth facility, Courtney worked in operations at the Port of Kingston, Jamaica during the years 1992-2003.
