Amr has 20 years of containers terminals industry experience and had several roles in Technical Asset Management building and implementing Technical Asset Management strategies across several locations in Africa, Middle East and Canada. Through his career, Amr led the implementation of CMMS systems and setting up Maintenance Planning and Reliability teams and the adoption of condition based maintenance practices at container terminals.
In his current role as Director of Operational Excellence at Global Container Terminals; GCT Canada, Amr is pursuing driving efficiencies in terminal operations through the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives and innovative solutions. Amr recently worked with GCT IT and Engineering team to drive setting up a wireless private network at Deltaport and building a roadmap for Smart Operations and 5G uses cases at Deltaport.
Amr is a Mechanical Engineer, graduated from Alexandria University – Egypt and is a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.
